Space Center Houston
Space Center Houston is a museum and space research facility in Houston, Texas, United States. It is located on the grounds of NASA's Johnson Space Center. The center contains several theaters, exhibit halls, planetariums, and simulators. The centerpiece of the complex is the large size model of the Apollo moon landing spacecraft. Other exhibits include a life-size replica of the International Space Station, a walk-through recreation of the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), and the Apollo 17 command module that flew to the moon.
Space Center Houston also operates the only public training facility for astronauts in the United States. The center offers tours of JSC and its visitor complexes. Guests can experience weightlessness on board a reduced gravity aircraft, and train in a virtual reality simulator.
History
Space Center Houston was founded in 1992 as the official visitor center for NASA's Johnson Space Center. The center was built on the site of the former NASA astronaut training facility, Building 5. The center's first exhibit was a large-scale model of the space shuttle Endeavour.

Space Center Houston is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day. The center's hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Admission is free for children aged two and younger, and $18.95 for adults.
